    Tim Graf, Burnsville, MN . Tim has been with us from the start. He has made the trip from the cities every year . His family was in the ice harvesting business in Worthington Minnesota, so he comes to us trained and ready to go! Tim will greet visitors and explain the process of ice harvesting. Tim also can be seen at the Three Rivers Park District Ice Harvest.

    Scott Roemhildt, Janesville, MN. Scott along with Jeff Huelsnitz from Farm America joined forces with the Waseca County Historical Society and program coordinator Joan Mooney to pull together the historical reenactment of ice harvesting. Scott will be running the new logging camp site this year. Scott and wife Amy have their own production company called Akorn Creations that specialize in photography and interactive learning programs.

    Amy Roemhildt will be teaching visitors about ice scoring,the first step in the harvesting process.

    Scott and Farm AmericaĆ­s Jeff Huelsnitz and Steve Melcher built the ice house for storing the ice. Supplies for the house were donated by Associated Lumber Mart of Waseca. Transporting the Ice House is Tesches Automotive Center.

    Jeff Huelsnitz, Waseca, MN is another key player in the ice harvest. Jeff brought in wagons and sleds needed to hitch the horses and mules to as well as saws, ice tongs and whatever else we needed from FarmAmerica. He also staffed the ice cutting station and built the icehouse. Jeff is site manager at FarmAmerica Agricultural Interpretive Center.

    John Pribble,Waseca, MN has returned every year to assist with the ice cutting.

    Also helping this year are Mert Schwarz, Monique Snyder and Ken Borgmann, Jolene Gundermann, Larry Born, Bob Busse and Jeff Parkinen, Darv Tollefson and STS Crew. Hauling sawdust for the ice house and wood is Marita Wadd. The Wadds also donated the oak wood for the fire. Joel Groebner is stationed at the first ever warming fire. Joel provided the wood and used his day off from his Park Director post at Rice Lake State Park to keep all the fingers and toes warm and toasty! Joel will also talk about ice safety and winter preparedness.

    Kristin Shirley, Morristown, MN. Kristin brings her Islandic Horses bred specifically to work on ice! Special Ice Tolt demonstrations will be held at 10:20 AM. and 12:00 noon. Joining Kristin on the ice are Ed Byron, Aubrey Wood, Kevin and Maggie Draeger and Nick Cook.

    Harlan Gekeler, Waseca. MN. Harlan came back again to entertain visitors with his wonderful horses and wagon. Harlan is a dedicated horseman who raises Belgians south of Waseca where he and his wife Ginny reside. Harlan is also a member of the Waseca County Sheriff Posse.

    Mark Wegner of Faribault joins us this year with his beautiful team of horses and wagon. You can see Harlan and Mark again in the Sleigh and Cutter Parade on Saturday.
